Welcome to the Critter Blog

Updated: Jan 4, 2021

Greetings and salutations!

My name is Cori Elwood and I wanted to take a moment to welcome all of you to Cori's Critters, LLC and tell you a bit about what the Critter Blog is all about.

My goal with this is pretty simple (in theory anyway): I want to educate and entertain people about those special moments where humans and wildlife interact; whether it's good or bad, and steer the conversation towards peaceful coexistence between species.

I want to open up each discussion with sound facts, scientific evidence, and some pretty entertaining stories, and give people a chance to voice their opinions in the comments.

We will explore some pretty harsh-reality topics at times, but I have made it my goal to keep things positive and balance some (hopefully entertaining) comedy along with it. This will help avoid the full soul-crushing effects of topics like mass extinctions, disease, and global climate change, to name a few. I'll do my best to end everything on a positive note, and give ways that you can help and influence change for the better for every topic we cover. And if you have any ideas or want me to touch on a particular subject that's close to your heart, feel free to give us a shout out at our email info@coriscritters.com!

And on that subject: I welcome hearty humor and good conversation in this blog, but be forewarned - I will be challenging any neigh-sayers or trolls to provide their sources of information and evidence to support their opinions, and I expect all of you to hold me to those standards as well. If I don't cite my sources or explain why I hold an opinion, feel free to call me out on it and I'll fix it. I have thick skin, and I know I'm not infallible so I welcome your critiques and assistance if I get something wrong. I want to inspire respect and admiration for wildlife, the environment, and for all our fellow humans in everything we do here at Cori's Critters. We all have our own stories to tell, and I hope this Critter Blog can have a positive impact in some way for you too!

Thanks so much for joining. Cheers!

~ Cori E.
